A former funeral director has admitted to embezzling more than $145,000 from the Binghamton funeral home she worked for.

Helen Eickhoff, 59, of Vestal admitted that she stole the money from the Ernest Parsons Funeral Home on Main Street between September 2007 and June 2010.

Eickhoff pled guilty to grand larceny and faces 2.3 to 7 years in state prison at her sentencing in November.

If she pays back most of the money by her sentencing date, she may receive a lesser sentence.
