Former Town Board member announces write-in candidacy for Town of Triangle Justice

TRIANGLE N.Y. - After nobody from any party submitted petitions for Triangle Town Justice, a former Town Board member is running as a write-in candidate.

James Johnston has announced his write-in candidacy for Town of Triangle Justice Monday on Facebook.

He's a photography instructor at SUNY Broome and a Supervisor at Barnes and Noble.

He was on the Town Board for four years and says he is looking for fairness and efficiency to the Town Court.

According to the Board of Elections, no petitions were filed and all Town residents will have a blank ballot for Town Justice, leaving write-ins as the only option to cast a vote.

NewsChannel 34 is not aware of any other candidates running for the seat.
