The monthly art walk takes place in downtown Binghamton. A show called Off The Wall will be at Cooperative Gallery 213 on State Street. It features unique pieces that are literally off the wall, including paintings, a water scene made from shredded plastic bottles with fish, a floral display that incorporates pieces of tools and hardware and some other quirky designs. Artist Maryrose Griffin has work on display. She tells what inspires her.
"Everywhere I look, people I talk to, other shows, the hour at night when you can't and it's like that will be something, that will be worth trying and also the figure in general. I love working from the figure and drawing from the model," says Griffin.
Cooperative Gallery 213 will be open from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday.
