The American Civic Association is now part of the monthly art walk in downtown Binghamton. As a part of its 75th anniversary, the ACA plans to host more cultural events to help raise awareness of its work in our area. Part of that effort includes showing foreign films every First Friday.

Tomorrow's selection will be the contemporary Thai film called Tears of the Black Tiger. Executive Director Andrew Baranoski hopes the screenings will bring people together.

"We're hoping that we will get representation from those particular communities and the larger First Friday community. So that everyone would have a chance to mingle and enjoy a film that they wouldn't necessarily, typically encounter in Binghamton," said Baranoski.

The ACA is at 131 Front St. Doors open at 6 o'clock. The screening begins at 8. Cost is $7 per person and includes popcorn and a drink.
