Face's barbershop celebrates 5th anniversary

ENDICOTT, N.Y. - An Endicott barbershop is celebrating five years of cutting, shaving, and making happy faces.

Face's Barbershop located at 117 Washington Avenue is marking five years in business next month.

It's owned by Master Barber Joe "Face" Becker who has brought on two more barbers, Quinton and Cody.

Becker learned to cut hair as an apprentice at a JC barbershop 13 years ago and decided to open his own shop when his son was born.

Face's offers men's and women's haircuts along with cuts for kids, hot lather towel shaves, designs and eyebrows.

They even tackle nose and ear hair.

The shop is a popular spot known for its laid back atmosphere.

"We're an old-school barbershop with a new school feel.  We don't do appointments.  We want people to come in, enjoy the atmosphere and hopefully you walk out of here with a great haircut.  That's why our motto is a happy customer is a happy face," said Becker.

Barber Cody Fredette said, "Face and Q are like my brothers.  I love working with them, I love the clients and my clients that have been coming here since day one are happy coming here."

On Tuesdays haircuts are only 8 dollars as part of Face's "Tiger Tuesdays" promotion.

Veterans and first responders also get a discount with proper ID.

Becker has also created an organic beard oil and pomade.
