Cornell Cooperative Extension is holding its 5th annual Fresh Food Face Off next Tuesday in the Cutler Botanical Garden.
The festival features many dishes made with locally grown ingredients, prepared by chefs from local restaurants such as Lost Dog Cafe, Whole in the Wall and Social on State.
There will also be wine, beer, local cheese, raffle baskets, and live music from Jared Campbell.
Executive Director Vicki Giarratano said the chefs will provide new ideas on what to do with your garden vegetables.
"The chef's that are going to be at the Fresh Food Face Off will be using local product grown right from local farms here in Broome County so it is a great way for you to sample ways to incorporate the local vegetables into new recipes. I'm really excited about some of the chef's coming back. A few of them are facing off for first place and that is going to be an exciting challenge," she said.
Money raised at the event goes to support Cornell Cooperative programming including its 4-H robotics and engineering camp that is currently underway.
The Fresh Food Face Off begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the garden on Upper Front Street.
You can buy tickets at the event for $35 a person or $60 per couple.
