ENDICOTT, N.Y. - Eateries established in the Village of Endicott are serving up specialty dishes to benefit a local organization.
The latest installment of Endicott Restaurant Week is underway running through next Thursday.
More than two dozen restaurants will be offering three-course lunches and dinners, with Fast Eddie's Diner serving up a breakfast special.
Endicott Mayor John Bertoni stopped in this morning for breakfast.
A portion of the sales will be donated to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier, a 10-bed, non-denominational home offering 24-7 care for the terminally ill.
Bertoni says many people will be going out for a great meal over the next week.
"It brings the community together and it brings people down to Endicott. They come not only for the great food but to support the cause as well. We hope that it's as successful as it has been in the past and we're really looking forward to the whole week," said Bertoni.
Participating restaurants include Joey's, Tony's, Nirchi's, Antonio's Bar and Trattoria along with Restaurant Week newcomers Endwell Greens, Our Country Hearts and Ristorante Dell'Arco.
