CONKLIN, N.Y. - The Conklin Fair is underway for its 46th year.
The fair takes place on the Floyd L Maines Community Center Grounds Thursday through Saturday.
As always, there will be amusement rides, live music and plenty of fair food.
There will be a free kids activity tent along with the return of the beer tent for adults.
New this year, a standup comedy show on Saturday at 5 p.m. and a Fun Walk and Run at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
"Conklin puts its best foot forward when we put on the fair. People are coming to our town. And they'll have the opportunity to see our town. So, in that sense, sure, we put our best foot forward," said Fair Committee President Bill Krasowsky.
Krasowsky says the fair has received tremendous support from the town and Maines Paper and Food.
Other highlights include a dog show tomorrow, a chainsaw carver, a wild west show, a baking contest on Saturday and a fireworks show to close out the fair Saturday night at 10 p.m.
Admission to the fair is free and so is the parking.
