Confluence Running is celebrating its one year anniversary. The store opened at the corner of South Washington St. and Route 434 on Binghamton's southside last May.

A lot of work went into creating a warm organic space where runners and people looking to get involved in fitness would feel comfortable.

Confluence Running offers a variety of clothes, fitness gear and sneakers.

"We understand our products very well, whereas other stores may not. We do customized shoe fittings and we take a look at peoples arches and how they walk, whichever shoe fits their feet the best, we'll be able to bring that out. We're able to do special orders," said manager Matthew Gawors.

Store hours are Monday through Friday from 12 to 8, Saturday from 10 until 6 and Sunday from noon until 5.

Every second Saturday of the month, including this coming one, there will be a beginners run that will start at the store at 10:30 a.m.

No runner will be left behind.
