Some Chobani yogurt rejected by Russia will now help feed the hungry in our country.

The 5,000 servings of Greek yogurt were originally intended for U.S. Athletes at the Winter Olympics in Sochi. But the Russian government refused it's entry due to a customs certificate problem. Despite protests from Chobani and the U.S. State Department the yogurt was not allowed in.

It will now go to Saint John's Soup Kitchen in New Jersey and the Food Bank for New York City. Senator Chuck Schumer, who had intervened on behalf of the Chenango County-based company, says giving the yogurt to the hungry is at least the silver (or gold) lining.
