BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - And turning to the race for Broome County Clerk, Republican Joe Mihalko hopes voters elect him for the position.
He voted Tuesday at the Unitarian Church on Riverside Drive.
He's looking to replace longtime County Clerk Rick Blythe who is retiring.
Mihalko is currently Binghamton City Council President and is campaigning to keep DMV dollars in our local community.
Mihalko says he's confident he'll be elected as the next County Clerk.
"I feel really good. We've run a good race and I think we're going to win this. I've knocked on over 6,000 doors and I've had volunteers knock on doors for me. I feel really good," said Mihalko.
Mihalko says he knocked on a few more doors and made some last-minute phone calls this morning.
He will watch the results with Republicans at Terra Cotta Tuesday evening.
