The Y serves 15,000 people a year in our area.
CEO Gareth Sansom says the organization strives to meet the needs of the community, which includes offering a variety of programs.
Now that the hot weather is upon us, the Y is partially focused on youth camps in the areas of sports and arts.
"I think one of the things with the Y is that it serves a different purpose for everybody. A lot of people see it as a swim and a gym. The truth of the matter is we start with 6 weeks of age and up for all day childcare. We do after school care. We do swim lessons. We do homeless housing for homeless men," said Sansom.
