ENDICOTT, N.Y. - Alorica is the Greater Binghamton Chamber's Business of the Week.
The customer service call center handles calls on behalf of a number of utilities.
The business was started in April 2002 on Washington Ave in Endicott and then moved to its current location in the Glendale Technology Park later that same year.
Since then, its employment has grown to 140 agents with 20 new hires beginning their training last week.
Director of Operations Dawn Proctor says Alorica offers its employees perks not available at other call centers.
"We treat the people here with dignity and respect. We have a lot of different things that we do in our office, incentives for our agents, contests that we run, and we have different things that we do each month for top performers to celebrate their achievements and their accomplishments" said Proctor.
Proctor says many employees have been with the business for more than five years.
She says the business has reached its capacity at its current location.
