Broome County locations take part in New York 'Path Through History'

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Take a walk through Broome County's rich heritage.

This is the fourth year of Path Through History, a state initiative highlighting historical offering in New York.

Locally, over 19 different locations are offering events Saturday, with some continuing into Sunday.

Venues include The Bundy Museum in Binghamton, the Little Italy Endicott Heritage Center and Museum, and the Janet W Bowers Museum in Maine.

Judi Hess, Manager of the Greater Binghamton Convention and Visitors Bureau says Broome County has a fascinating history.

"Its propelled us to this incredible community that we are today. When you look at an old brick building that was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright or something, and now it's a cool coffee house, that's what makes communities continue to grow," said Hess.

Officials say Broome continues to be the only county with an interactive Path Through History online map.

The site allows you to check times of events and directions to each location.
