The City of Binghamton and Broome County are hosting a joint emergency drill this Saturday.

The exercise will allow police, fire, EMS and other response agencies to simulate a response to a real emergency.

Mayor Rich David says the drill will help local first responders train with state and federal partners.

Broome County Executive Debbie Preston would like to warn residents that the exercise is only a drill and not a real life emergency.

It takes place this Saturday from 7 until 3 on the railroad tracks near Montgomery and Frederick Streets in the city.

It is not open to the public.
