ENDICOTT, N.Y. - People suffering from memory loss were out on Friday to help make a stranger's day.
Residents at Brookdale Vestal West, an assisted Living Community for people suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia, went out for lunch at Fast Eddie's Cafe in Endicott.
There, they paid a portion of the bill for random customers' lunches and gave them a chocolate lollipop.
The clients went up to the tables and presented them with $10 off for their meal.
Brookdale Resident Joan Wruck says it makes her happy to help brighten someone's day.
"Sometimes you run into people who are sad. It's a joy for us to show them that everything will be okay in time," said Wruck.
The good deeds were done to recognize National Random Acts of Kindness Day which took place on Saturday.
