CHENANGO BRIDGE, N.Y. - A Chenango Bridge tavern known for its special sauce has closed.
The Brass Lantern Tavern located at 42 Chenango Bridge Road has closed, according to its Facebook Page.
A post by owners Gerry and Wendy Dube says the restaurant had been "treading water for so long that we can't continue to provide service that is up to our standards."
It goes on to explain that health issues of one of the owners has also played a role in the closure.
However, they do plan to bottle their Tavern Sauce that will be sold at the Taste New York store.
Beginning on January 1st of the new year, Brass Lantern plans to be at the Broome County Regional Farmers Market.
They will also continue the catering side of the business.
