BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Two vintage clothing stores in Binghamton are teaming up to present wedding ideas from a bygone era.
Mabel D Orr and The Blue Egg are hosting A Vintage Glamour Wedding Event at Atomic Tom's on State Street on Sunday.
The event includes a fashion show with models wearing vintage bridal gowns and tuxes, and a variety of vendors to help you throw a throwback wedding, including the Goldsmith, Traditions at the Glen, Carden Travel, KT Kanazawich Photographer and Jenn DePersis Design.
Heidi Weeks of Mabel D Orr says its perfect for brides and grooms who want something different.
"Something eclectic, style conscious, not your typical wedding. Old meets new. Things that are mismatched. We love asymmetry. We love eclectic," said Weeks.
The Blue Egg will also have a number of vintage props and furniture available to rent for your event.
"Vintage furniture, vintage dishes, mismatched dishes. It all lends that uniqueness. It's not a cookie cutter wedding when you start adding vintage pieces," said owner Sherrie Rinker.
The free event runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
It begins with music from the band Peaches and Crime.
The runway models start at 3 p.m. followed by music by cellist Hakan Hromek.
There's also free food and refreshments from Social on State, raffles and goody bags.
