Binghamton Shooting Leaves Two Injured

- Binghamton Police are investigating a shooting that occurred last night.

It occurred at about 9:10 p.m. in the area of North and Mather streets.

Police say a group of men were fighting when a light-colored hatchback pulled up and then shots were fired.

The driver is described as a heavy set Hispanic man with his hair pulled back into a ponytail.

Police say after the shooting, 30-year-old Anthony Carter of Binghamton went to an emergency room after being shot in the leg.

Shortly after, 32-year-old James High of Binghamton walked into another emergency room for an injury during the fight.

Anyone with information is asked to call Binghamton Police Detectives at 772-7080.
