The Binghamton Comedy and Arts Festival is back this fall, this time with more comics and bigger names.

There will be close to 50 performers from all over the East Coast, including headliners Kurt Metzger and Tim Joyce, who have appeared on Comedy Central, NBC, and Showtime.

The festival will showcase mostly stand-up, along with improv and some sketch comedy.

The comics will perform at about 6 different venues over the 3-day-long festival, including the Cyber Cafe, Matty B's, the Union Hotel, and the Bundy Museum Annex.

Festival organizer Kevin Salisbury says that he's been working for years to establish comedy in our community.

"Comedy lends people the ability to let go of certain things that they have on their mind. It gives them a way to see things differently, especially if you're having a rough day," said Salisbury.

Tickets can be bought through presale or at the door.

The festival will take place September 12th through the 14th.
