BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Boys and Girls Club hosted a traditional turkey dinner to celebrate the holiday Tuesday.
The Club held a Thanksgiving celebration with its members from across the City.
The meal included turkey and all the fixings including stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and corn.
The turkeys were donated by Catholic Charities and staff members started cooking on Tuesday to prepare.
The students also enjoyed a Thanksgiving play performed by their peers.
Unit Director Roberto Sostre says the kids at the Club are like family.
"It's a good time for them and that's important to us. We them to come out, have dinner together, enjoy a nice play performed by the kids. We want to make sure they have a good time for the holidays," said Sostre.
Right before the meal, the kids expressed what they were thankful for and recited a Thanksgiving prayer.
Over 200 club members attended the dinner.
