There will be many hands-on activities for kids: safety seat checks, a DJ, fire trucks and big department of transportation vehicles will be set up.
The event is sponsored by the college and the Binghamton Association for the Education of Young Children. It is aimed at infants through 8-year-olds.
"The children are going through the activities, but the parents are going along with them to see how easy and fun it is just to put their hands in the dirt or to dig for fossils or to play with worms or go fishing. We have all sorts of fun things that are happening," said adjunct professor Christine Webb.
The children's fair runs from 10 until 2 at the SUNY Broome Student Center.
Cost is $3 per child and adults are free as long as they bring a canned good for CHOW. The maximum cost is $10 per family.
