JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. - Oakdale Mall shoppers are shifting their shopping list into the next gear as the newest cars, trucks, and SUVs are put on display.
The Greater Binghamton New Car Dealer Association is holding the Oakdale Mall Car show through next Tuesday.
One of the dealers, Jack Sherman Toyota, has created a make-shift showroom inside the former location of CVS inside the mall.
Seventeen brands are on display for people to check out free of charge.
New Car Dealer Association President Michael Corey says other car shows charge people just to take a look under the hood.
"They're all here in one place. We do it different in our community where we don't have it at a large events center or arena where we'd have to charge admission. We do it so people can come to a place where they don't have to pay to see the cars and just see them at their leisure." said Corey.
Unfortunately, you can't take a test drive inside the mall, but anyone interested in purchasing a car can go to the dealership and in some cases can drive away with their new ride the next day.
The New Car Dealer Association will also present local schools with a donation to fund substance-free post-prom parties.
New this year, a chance to win a $1,000 Oakdale Mall gift card.
