ENDICOTT, N.Y. - A holiday tradition is back after a one-year hiatus at the Cider Mill.
A Christmas Carol will be performed by the ClockTower Theater Company once again at the newly branded Cider Mill Stage in Endicott.
The traditional holiday classic will be performed with a bit of a twist, as the story of the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future takes place in one setting and is told in the perspective of a family acting out the story for a little boy.
A Christmas Carol has been performed at the Cider Mill since 1979, but the previous theater company chose not to hold it last holiday season.
"Last year, when they decided they weren't going to do it, I thought there was going to be a big hole in my Christmas. That's why I brought it down to Scranton, Pennsylvania. To me, it wouldn't seem like Christmas without this production," said ClockTower Theater Company Executive Director Brad Morgan.
The Cider Mill Stage is now managed by Craig Saeger who kept the Cabaret-style seating and purchased new chairs along with light and sound equipment for the stage.
Cider Mill Stage plans to hold a season with shows in February, March, and June.
For A Christmas Carol, original cast members Claus Evans and Bernie Sheredy will be performing.
Show times are December 15 -17 and December 21- 23.
