Race lived in Broome County his entire life, and had a great love for the park.
He passed away seven years ago.
The tournament was founded by his wife and friends as a way to honor his memory and give to charity.
All proceeds from the tournament will go to the Catholic Charities of Broome County's Gateway Center for Youth.
Peter Foley was a good friend of Race's.
"We all miss Tom very much, but it gets tempered by the fact that we see people we haven't seen all year or in a couple of years, so it ends up being a lot of fun," said Foley.
The tournament was able to raise $6,000 last year. The goal this year is $7,000.
