ITHACA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - A drug raid at a home on Shore Drive in Ithaca ended in two arrests early Tuesday morning.
Ithaca Police and Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies joined a SWAT team at the home around 4:45 a.m.
Police arrested 26-year-old Taurean Matthews and 21-year-old Kristen Weber after searching the home.
Both Matthews and Weber had outstanding warrants for their arrests.
Police also recovered what they described as “a large quantity of an unknown substance packaged as if prepared for narcotic sales.”
They also found packaging materials, scales, and “cutting agents.”
According to police, Matthews and Weber could face additional charges depending on what the New York State Crime Lab determines after examining the substance.
Matthews was turned over to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office on a bench warrant.
