Del Zotto recorded three goals and 13 assists in 67 games last season, split between the New York Rangers and Nashville Predators. The 24-year-old was traded to the Predators from the Rangers on Jan. 22.
The Ontario native, who was drafted 20th overall by the Rangers in 2008, has recorded 27 goals and 99 assists in 317 games, spanning five seasons. In 32 career playoff games, he has registered three goals and nine assists.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Flyers announced that 39-year-old defenseman Kimmo Timonen was diagnosed with blood clots in his lower right leg and both lungs. He is being treated in his home country of Finland and a return date has not been set.
