Web.com, SCORE, and Security Mutual hosted a small business summit.
A few of the things talked about were the importance of search engine optimization, website layout, and design.
Eleanor Tucker with Web.com said one of the keys for businesses is to keep information relevant and updated.
"Our goal is just to drive more traffic to the small business centers. A lot of them are one man shows and we want to help them get found on the internet and drive more business to them," said Tucker.
Security Mutual Chairman and CEO Bruce Boyea said when small businesses do well, communities benefit.
"There are a lot of things that small businesses do to support the community. I mean, the giveback in this community is great, even on the charitable side, these small businesses do an awful lot to make this a better place to live and work," he said.
