DESCRIPTION:

ENSCO Avionics, Inc. has an immediate leadership and technical guidance career opportunity in the design of automated test systems used in the development, integration, and testing of safety-critical aerospace systems. The Sr. Test Equipment Design Engineer will be expected to seek out next generation test environments and leading-edge approaches for extensive verification and acceptance testing of high-reliability avionics systems and sub-systems. Responsibilities •Provide oversight and technical guidance with the planning, analysis, design, fabrication, documentation and integration of automated test systems •Develop and/or review project planning documentation, work with development and verification teams in developing viable, cost effective technical solutions

REQUIREMENTS:

*Qualifications Required (Skills) •Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent •Minimum 7 years of closely related experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the development and acceptance testing of safety-critical systems •Utilization of LabVIEW programming and data acquisition, C/C++ programming and the utilization of scripting languages such as PHP and Python •Digital and analog circuit design experience, including adapter design and break-out hardware to support fault insertion and isolation testing •Experience with PWB/PCB layout and harness designs using Eagle, Mentor Graphics, or similar toolset •System, cable, and interconnect design •Experience with various bus interfaces such as Arinc-429, Ethernet, Mil-Std-1553, Arinc-664, Arinc-825, CAN and discrete I/O •Development experience of technical solutions, approaches and resource estimates in support of proposals and new business capture •Demonstrated Technical/Project Management skills and ability to manage and coordinate project resources •Strong oral and written communication skills, strong teamwork and team development skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment. Qualifications Desired •MS or PhD in electrical or system engineering •Experience in the development and acceptance testing of safety-critical avionics systems requiring conformance to DO-178C, DO-278A, and DO-254 guidelines •Experience with DO-160 or Mil-Std-810 environmental testing requirements •Model-based design experience with products such as Matlab or SCADE •VME/VXI hardware experience ENSCO, Inc. and its wholly owned U.S. subsidiaries are equal opportunity/affirmative action employers, committed to diversity in the workplace.
