Job Description

Are you skilled in developing embedded real-time software for Avionic Flight and engine control systems? If you have experience analyzing requirements, and creating high level and low level design, and are proficient at implementing code and performing test and integration of the code in desktop simulation and/or lab equipment environments with hardware in the loop, then our Avionics Embedded Software Engineer position is for you! This position will entail working with text and logic diagram requirements, all parts of the software life cycle, and rigorous established processes to assure the software/system to DO-178B/C standards. Qualifications Required (Skills)

·         B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent •Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience with commercial embedded systems

·         Experience with C code software programming in toolsets such as Borland C, Microsoft C, and GCC

·         Experience with Script editors such as notepad++, Python, and Excel

·         Experienced in Excel at intermediate or higher level (tasks will include database manipulation, formulas, and format components)

·         Experience using Green Hills, Visual C or similar Integrated Development Environment [IDE]

·         Experience with VxWorks WorkBench or similar real time toolset

·         Excellent verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively in teleconferences with Suppliers, Clients and Colleagues

·         Excellent interpersonal skills including working in team environments

·         Must be a U.S. Citizen 

General Education/Years of Experience:

·         BS or equiv;

·         min 3 yrs relevant exp

Desired Qualifications:

·         Configuration Management (CM) systems such as Razor or Synergy

·         Avionic Engine or Flight control Software design

·         Avionic Software Systems Engineering

·         Demonstrated experience with software requirements

·         Skilled at working with text and logic diagram requirements

·         Experience creating high level and low level design

·         Integration experience in engineering lab

·         Familiar with all parts of the software life cycle

·         Experience following rigorous established processes to assure the software/system to DO-178B/C standards
