People from around Greater Binghamton were recently locked up for a good cause. We're talking about the MDA Lock-Up, which took place at the Texas Roadhouse in Vestal.

People were "arrested" and then raised bail or money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which is seeking cures for people battling neuromuscular diseases.

"The most important thing for people to realize is there's never been a better time for people to donate to the MDA. In the last three or four years, we've had major breakthroughs in research. That's really what this is all about: finding treatments and cures for any of the 43 different forms of neuromuscular disease," said Kate Houck, the Executive Director of Central and South Central MDA.
